The beginning of a lesson can lack energy. Stimulate the learners’ appetite and get their creative juices flowing at the start with a warmer.
But remember, don’t give them too much, they’ll still want room for the main course!
My favourite warmers:
Ladder race – revising or brainstorming a lexical set
Riverbank – quick TPR activity for revision of grammar
Polarisation – a simple speaking activity for expressing opinions
